La ultimul recens\u0103m\u00e2nt\u00a0 din 2011 popula\u0163ia total\u0103 a teritoriului, s-a ridicat la cifra de\u00a0 17.232 (sursa INS) locuitori \u00een sc\u0103dere cu 1129 locuitori fa\u021b\u0103 de recens\u0103m\u00e2ntul din 2002 c\u00e2nd popula\u0163ia teritoriului era de 18361 locuitori. Calcul\u00e2nd rata de sc\u0103dere a popula\u0163iei rezult\u0103 a sc\u0103zut cu aproximativ 125,44 loc\/an. Din punct de vedere al natalit\u0103\u021bi niciuna dintre unit\u0103\u021bile administrative partenere nu a \u00eenregistrat spor natural.
